At Lisa Lupia Design, we are dedicated to streamlining the renovation or remodeling journey for our clients, irrespective of project scale. From the initial discussion and concept development through to final project completion, we ensure seamless communication, expertly coordinating the many diverse components essential to crafting your new space.
Our Full-Service Design process is customized to suit your individual needs and project scale but would generally follow the steps laid out below. This process ensures the integrity of the design, timeline efficiency, and an exceptional client experience.

Step One: Discovery Call

This is a complimentary call where we will work with you to determine, your needs, desire, and vision for your space. We can discuss the investment that you would like to make in your project as well as any timelines that you may have.
It’s also a time where you can ask any questions you might have about how we work and the overall design process.

Step Two: In-person, On-site Consultation
​
​​​
This visit is largely about gathering information to understand your needs. We will walk through your space with you to learn about your vision and desires for your project. This is also an opportunity for us to offer ideas and suggestions, to gain a better understanding of the scope of work, and answer any questions that you might have. If you have any inspiration images we can go over them with you to determine how we can incorporate all of the things you love. ​
​Step Three: Conceptual Design Phase

This is where the fun begins, we will get to work putting together our vision for you.
​
We will create floor plans, key elevations, and sketches where required. This is a great time to meet with contractors and trades to validate the design where construction is involved. In this phase, we will also complete a site survey taking measurements and photos of your space.​​
​
At the end of this phase, we will meet with you to review the conceptual design. We will prepare a detailed presentation with image boards, drawings, and finish samples for you to see and touch. If any revisions or tweaks are required we will explore alternatives and implement any changes to ensure that we have achieved the perfect overall design that aligns with your vision and aspirations for the space.

Step Four: Design Development Phase

Here we finalize all of the details, depending on the scale of your project, these might include:

Final Finishes – paint, wallcoverings, tile, hardwood, carpet, stone, quartz, etc

Plumbing Fixtures

Lighting Fixtures

Fireplace or Feature designs

Custom millwork designs

Interior doors and Hardware

Wall Base, Casing, and Ceiling details

Window Coverings

Some of these selections may involve showroom visits with the client if desired to get a real feel for the items selected.​
Step Five: Construction Drawings

​
​In this phase, we will put together a complete final set of construction drawings which include all required details and specifications. This contains all of your project information to ensure the contractors and trades have everything they need to bring your dream design to life.

Step Six: Implementation
​
​​​
This is where things get busy, construction begins and we get to work ordering furnishings, etc. to be ready in time for your project completion. We will work with the contractor to ensure flawless execution of the plans and our vision.

Step Seven: Installation and Styling
​
​​​​
​
With construction nearing completion we will ensure that any loose ends are addressed and any deficiencies are communicated to the trades.
Now is the time where we will focus on the finishing touches, installing art and accessories. We would also appreciate scheduling a time to take photographs of the final design for our portfolio.
